FAQ
Answers to Your Questions
What does GTi stand for?
GTi is Guild Training International. All GTi course are fully accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists and taught to National Occupational Standards by fully qualified trainers. GTi qualifications are accepted for insurance and membership.
Are the GTi courses recognised qualifications worldwide?
GTi courses meet the National Occupational Standards (NOS). They are fully accredited and accepted by all the main insurance providers. However we do advise to check with your own insurance provider that they will insure you for the courses before enrolling. GTi qualifications are not on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) because they are essentially industry lead vocational qualifications which are not externally assessed. This means that some authorities, like London councils, may not accept them. This could also apply to clients who have health insurance cover wanting to claim back the cost for their treatment. If a student needs to have qualifications that are on the RQF then they should instead consider enrolling on courses such as VTCT, ITEC, NVQs etc.
What is the minimum age you can enrol on a GTi course?
You can enrol on a GTi course from 16 years.
I don't have any beauty qualifications, can I do a GTi course?
Some of our courses are for complete beginners or for trained therapists wanting to update their skills
Is there an exam for the courses?
The course theory has test questions as you work through the modules and case studies are required to pass your practical.
How long do I have to complete a GTi Theory course?
There is no time limit to complete the GTi theory course. Even if your membership has expired, you will still have access to your course. However we would expect that the courses are completed within 1 year unless there are circumstances that prevent this.
How do the GTi courses work?
Once you have paid the deposit for your chosen GTi course, you will be signed up to the course, you will get a link via email to complete your theory modules online, these online modules would need to be completed prior to your practical. At the practical you will get to work on live models, case studies are required to pass the practical. The number of case studies required will differ for each student due to individual learning. Once you have passed your case studies your certificate will be released for you to gain insurance.
What is your cancellation policy?
Once the deposit is paid, it is non refundable, this is to cover the cost of the GTi enrolment course fee.
